Senior Advocate Dushyant Dave elected SCBA President, Aishwarya Bhati and V. Shekhar retain posts of Secretary and Vice President

In the elections conducted today (17 December 2014) for the executive committee of the Supreme Court Bar Association (SCBA), Senior Advocate Shri Dushyant Dave has been elected as the President of SCBA. He defeated his nearest rival Shri Adish Aggarwala. As reported earlier by Tilak Marg, there were eight candidates for the post of President of SCBA.

Ms. Aishwarya Bhati, advocate, has retained the post of Secretary of SCBA on being re-elected. Likewise, Shri V. Shekhar, senior advocate, has also been re-elected as Vice President of SCBA.

It may be pointed out that Dushyant Dave, the newly elected SCBA Precedent, came into prominence recently when he made allegations against Justice C.K. Prasad, a sitting judge of the Supreme Court.
