      Facts of story: An unmarried maid of a public officer was pregnant without the knowledge of her employers and has now given birth to a baby. She takes the name of the officer’s driver as father of the baby.The officer’s wife harasses the driver over phone & asks him to marry the maid & threatens to complain against him if he does not marry the maid within 10 days.The driver on being humiliated & harassed tries to commit suicide.
      Scenario 1: The driver says he did not even have any physical relationship with the maid. What legal actions can the driver take against the maid & her employers?
      Scenario 2: The driver says he once had consensual sex with her &, thereafter, never had any knowledge of her pregnancy. He vouches he did not impregnate her. What legal actions can the driver take in this case?
      Scenario 3: the driver admits or the she proves he is the father of the baby. But she never apprised him of her pregnancy & intention to give birth. Can the dri

You have pointed out hypothetical situations, as if it is a question paper in LL.B. course, or else as if the driver is willing to change his defence depending on legal advice.

      If you are representing the driver, then ask him the real truth about the incident, and then accordingly prepare for the defence. The hypothetical situations pointed out by you show as if the driver can change his version depending on legal advice. It is not possible for us to be a party in such wrong practices.
