Vide a notice dated 20 December 2014, the Registrar of the Supreme Court has notified a list of 3625 defective matters that have been filed before the Supreme Court till 18 August 2014, in which certain filing defects were notified and the files were returned to the concerned advocate-on-record (AOR), but which have still not been refiled after curing the defects.
Most of these defective matters are pending for long. Some of these matters are pending for even more than two years. Such a long list of defective matters shows as to how certain advocates-own-record would file a case in the Supreme Court but would not pursue it by taking sufficient care to remove the defects and refiled the case.
The Supreme Court registry has mentioned in the above notice that if necessary steps are not taken by the concerned advocates-own-record for refiling these matters after curing the defects within 30 days of the said notice, the same would be placed before the court of the Registrar for appropriate orders.
