Eligibility for civil services (IAS & IFS) if criminal case settled

Sir I was accused under section IPC 420 (cheque bounce) detention was less than 48 hours, was out on bail, the matter was settled in front of court, case status disposed and acquitted. Sir am i be eligible for IAS, IFS. Kindly help me sir with your reply. Thank you in advance.

In the circumstances mentioned by you, the criminal case against you has already been settled, which is considered to be an acquittal. In my opinion, such case should not come in your way of getting a Government job, including on the basis of the UPSC examination.
