Whereas patnidars [iv][* * *] fraudulently avail themselves of the [v]provision in Section 9, Regulation 8, 1819, of the Bengal Code [vi][* * *] that forfeited deposits at sales of land [vii][* * *] for arrears of rent shall be applied as if they were purchase-money; It is enacted as follows:—
