Cheque issued as security but stopped due to no service provided by broker

I have issued a cheque as security wherein I haven’t mentioned the date. He entered manually and the deposited. Now he had sent me a notice for repayment of the same. Please let me know what to do?

Just wanted to know what does other liabilities means? And does real estate brokerage comes under other liabilities?

And what if the broker doesn’t have the registered license?
