Law Commission of India joins Twitter, Facebook and YouTube to interact with public

The Law Commission of India has also joined the social media now. It has registered its presence on Twitter, Facebook and YouTube. You can now interact with the law commission through the social media and give your suggestions on its various studies and projects.

Law Commission of IndiaOn this occasion, in a message issued today (21 May 2015), Justice Ajit Prakash Shah, Chairman, Law Commission of India, has stated as under:

“We are all aware how the internet has revolutionalized the field of communication. The growing use of internet has resulted into widespread activism on social media. Now-a-days talk of Facebook, Twitter, YouTube, etc. are common among even the school children in India. A good percentage of urban Indian population are active one or the other social media website. The Law Commission of India would also like to be part of this growing trend in order to make its presence more prevalent. This will help the Commission, which works predominantly on a consultative mechanism, to elicit public opinion on its various projects. With this objective in mind, I am happy to announce the launch of the Commission’s Facebook page, “Law Commission of India”, twitter feed “@lawcomindia” and YouTube channel, “Law Commission of India”. I am sure, the citizens of India will utilize these for a and collaborate with the Commission.”
