What is the period of limitation for filing an appeal against acquittal order passed by the Sessions Judge? Also please confirm whether appeal is to be filed with high court or before a two-judge bench of the Session Court.

Appeal against an order of acquittal passed by the Sessions Court has to be presented to the high court only, since there is no division bench or 2-judge bench in Sessions Court as mentioned by you.

The limitation period for such appeal (i.e., appeal against acquittal order passed by the Sessions Court) to be filed in the high court is 90 days, in accordance with the provisions of Article 114(a) in the Schedule to the Limitation Act, 1963.
