My friend is falsely charged under section 420 IPC. One of his former employee filed a complaint last year against him u/s 420 at a police station. That complaint resulted in an FIR registered against him. He secured anticipatory bail and then obtained a copy of the original complaint through RTI from the PIO, Police Department of the District.
After one year of investigation chargesheet was filed against him. He was provided a copy of the chargesheet. He was surprised to see that the original complaint supplied with the chargesheet is altered to fill up the loopholes in it. The “Orignal Complaint” supplied with the chargesheet is different that the “Original Complaint” obtained through RTI. Changes are done through hand written content. Does it attracts any offence u/s 463 – 472 IPc or any other section against the complainant and IO? Please let me know. Thanks.

Usually, one would need to see the actual documents to find out whether there is a forgery. But, from the description given by you, it appears that the document mentioned by you has been forged and relevant sections of IPC (such as Section 465) relating to forgery may be applicable. For a confirmed opinion, you may show the documents to some local lawyer.
